I'm not a big enough fan of all of Bruce's work to have enjoyed most of this book. The behind the scenes Hollywood stuff was interesting, but a whole chapter on landscaping in Oregon was not my cup of tea. His first book had stories about a scrappy group of guys succeeding in Hollywood despite modest barriers (they were a bunch of upper middle class white boys after all); this book has a chapter about entertaining American troops in Iraq. I don't think I'd want to sit down and have a beer with this guy.

Such a fun and informative book about the more recent adventures of Mr. Bruce Campbell. Really enjoyed this book was sad when it finally came to an end. I have been a fan for along time can't express just how much I loved this book. Definitely worth reading. I hope he puts out another book in the future. :)

Interesting! Only really recommend this if you like Bruce Campbell. Interesting going back and forth between filming anecdotes and personal essays, pretty damn funny in places.

I am not always a fan of autobiographies/biographies, often they are self important and offer a justification of actions and not a view of the person. This book avoids many of the pit falls I dislike in biographies offering humor or reasoning without the self-importance. This may be because of Bruce Campbell's self claiming of being a B movie actor who (my own words) still needs to "work" for a living.

Still, this book traces Bruce's career through the years I am most familiar, Army of Darkness-through his years on Burn Notice. If you are looking for a hyper focus on any specific movie or show, this book will not do that, but instead entertains through anecdotes and case studies of what his life and career have been.

Now to go back and catch up on the rest of Campbell's movies and books.

This book was equivalent to sitting with Bruce Campbell for a couple hours and just letting him regale you with stories. It really helped me break a reading slump and I can't wait for his next Act.

Bruce Campbell is a pro at making sequels at this point, and this book does not disappoint. My only complaint is that it's shorter than the first one, and I want more. So, Bruce, if you could live a few lifetimes in between this book and the final in the trilogy, that'd be great.

This series is very fun, and I highly recommend the audiobooks as they are read by Bruce himself. For anyone who wants to know a little more about the life of a B-Movie actor, it's absolutely worth the read.

Warm and welcoming, Bruce Campbell’s (second) memoir is like listening to your cool uncle tell you stories — some may be rambling, some may be short, but they are show a lot of heart.
