A solid queer cosy fantasy, in the vein of Legends & Lattes or Cursed Cocktails. Enjoyable enough, but nothing to shout about

badly written, cringe story, unlovable characters and stupid plot which makes no sense even in a fantasy world lmao

I adored this story. Amidst all the super political prince and guard or prince and assassin or prince and Prince political fantasy romance, it was so wonderfully delightful to have a classic epic quest with a queer protagonist. The plot was enthralling and the characters had depth and motivation. It has a few slips here and there in continuity or detail, but overall this was such a delightful adventure that touches on some really poignant relationship themes.
