I read Monsters Love Underpants some time ago, and I adored that book. And guess what I found in my library yesterday? Yes, I found Dinosaurs Love Underpants. I was kind of expecting it to be the same kind of story as the Monsters, but it was quite different.

In this story we find out how the dinosaurs got extinct. Oh, you thought that was because of a meteorite, well believe me, after this book, you might reconsider. ;) It was a really funny book about cavemen, about dinosaurs, about fights on underwear (Yes, believe me, underwear is highly wanted!) and while the sentences didn't really rhyme, they still had a nice rhythm to them that made them easy and also very fun to read.

I really liked how we started in the present and travelled back in time to the past.

The illustrations are nice, colourful and fun to look at. I really loved all those underwear, though I do wonder where they got the fabric from. The animal prints are easy, but how did they get white/blue underwear? Or polka-dotted ones? The mystery deepens. ;)

Would I recommend this book? Yes, I am sure kids will love it, and parents will just be laughing just as hard at all the underpants antics happening.

I am hoping that I will find the other books one day, as I would love to see more underwear and see which critters/creatures get the spotlight next.

It kinda annoys me because it’s so historically inaccurate but i guess it is not supposed to be a true story…

Hilarious way to teach fiction/non-fiction. My first graders loved it and had big old belly laughs.

Doesn't quite roll off the tongue as easily as [b:Aliens Love Underpants|871555|Aliens Love Underpants|Claire Freedman|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1364138906s/871555.jpg|856924] (parents, be warned - you may need to practice the long dinosaur names in advance) but it's just as silly.

Honestly, the rhyme was awkward and the story confusing. Dinos may love underpants, but I didn't love this book. Sad.

This was another fun kids story! It has good pictures and fun dinosaur names. A whimsical Rae of how Underpants wiped out the dinosaurs. My son has read and reread this book time and time again. It never gets old. It has fun underwear you can count and identify colors and patterns in the front and back covers and can be read with a rhythmic tone as well!

A cute way to explain dinosaur extinction, and who doesn’t love a book that rhymes.

Dinosaurs love underpants, and so do my kindergarten, first and second graders. When talking about this book with one of my student's parents, she relayed a story about him putting on 15 pairs of underpants one day.

The poetry isn't great, the scientist in me twitches at the idea of dinosaurs living at the same time as people, but the enjoyment factor of my kids? Exponential. When the kiddo who can barely last 10 minutes with me doing ANYTHING sits still for 20 minutes, ask and answers questions about book and then demands "AGAIN!" I can kind of gloss over those other things. Another one of my speech therapy students regulated his behavior for 6 sessions in order to earn the reward of doing the "Aliens Love Underpants" book.

Underpants are funnier than ALL of the knock, knock jokes and seem to be endlessly popular.

I wonder what else can love underpants?
