I enjoyed this story a bit more than the earlier one. Bolitho had more agency, which made it more interesting to me to read. I thought the love story line was poorly done and not believable in the way it was written.

I still don't find the series as enjoyable as Hornblower, but I do want to know what comes next, so I'm getting the next book.

I did some whiting out of occasional profanity and a few sexual suggestions, but nothing extensive.
