The book was inspiring as in it was the first one I wrote in.
There was one character that was mostly enjoyable, the rest of the book was not. I had to read this in class and asked my teacher who said it worked great for an analysis (referring to depiction of flowers etc.) so if that is something you like then go ahead, but it was overall not a good book.

Spoilers ahead!!!
A major problem of mine was the main character, who not only saw women as sexual objects and described them as such, but he also described his mother that way. He is 17 and his girlfriend (20) is basically a manic pixie dream girl.

I had to read this book as part of my german class (I'm German) and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Somehow it's really good at making you feel for the characters even though there is not much plot to go on. This book really dives deep into the mind of Franz as well as other sidecharacters. Overall I liked this book very much.
(I'm sorry I'm not very good at writing reviews)
