4-4.5/5⭐️
- veryyyyyyy fast-paced
- I didn't like Red that much. I was kind of annoyed by her, so I wasn't rooting for her - in fact, I wasn't rooting for anyone to survive lol.
- Oliver was so annoying. He's one of the most disgusting characters I've ever encountered. How did he become the person he is?????? He gets worse with every turn of the page. I literally screamed 'YES' when he died

“One sniper. One gun. One red dot. And one liar.”

I did not go into this book with high hopes due to the last couple YA mysteries I have read. It was a slow start and I was on the path to not liking the characters (mainly Red). She could not remember anything and was a little annoying. I did warm up to her character more towards the end but in a way, she did change a little without much explanation. She was more confident and less clumsy,

But the story began to pick up and I became invested. I loved seeing the dynamic of the characters and their different reactions and strategies to being trapped. There was a tense feeling throughout the book but I did not feel like the author was dangling this big secret above my head detailing nonsense for 300 pages just for it to be not worthwhile (this is my biggest complaint with other YA thrillers).

Every time I thought I figured out the story and the plot twist another one showed up further connecting it and making the story that much deeper. I usually am not a fan of open endings but I love the way this book ended.
