I rarely read non-fiction, but since this one is so popular all over the world, I decided to give it a go. Overall, I really enjoyed how it brought up different perspectives of the evolution of humankind and made you re-evaluate what you’ve been thinking your whole life. I must admit that there was a chunk of like 70-80 pages in the middle of the book that I had to literally push myself through, but in general, it was a super interesting read. I would say that this book is the definition of “food for thought” and especially great during those long quarantine days

This is an excellent foundational book for anyone interested in learning about human history, but if you already have that basic knowledge you won’t get much out of this book. While I very much enjoy what the author has to say in interviews on current events and politics, this book was a little too base for me.

Brilliant, thought provoking and accessible account of our history and possible future directions. Such clear thinking. Harari makes history accessible, enjoyable and thought provoking. He sees the big picture. Highly recommended.
