Might add more in depth review later - suffice to say it's racist and misogynistic and you shouldn't read it

This essay was my introduction to Eimear McBride. An intriguing offering on the objectification and division of women as cause for exile.
I particularly found the contemplations on the consumption of flesh vs meat interesting, as something I had not previously considered.
It did feel as though there is some disconnect between the references and the theme which the title suggests, however I sure was left feeling disgusted by the clarification of disparity within the patriarchal society in which we live.
The discomfort is fuel to seek more literature on trans inclusive feminism, as supplement to some of the more binary language used and arguments presented.

No interest in reading any McBride again after this nonfiction series of essays.
