This was a fun read. It traces the history of a house in Massachusetts for over 300 years. The historical aspect and the biographic information are well executed and give a real vision of the house and the people who lived in her.

This goes hand in hand with Stone by Stone. Great for people with an interest in New England architecture. However, the book does get long in the tooth and repetitive.
