The Apocalypse Deal isn't something I would have usually read but the author was kind enough to send me a copy of his book.
Originally published in Italy it was translated to English in 2014. I was pleasantly surprised that the translations were made perfectly.
Now to the plot itself. Daniel is a multi-millionaire who had to fake his own death to protect his daughter, his wife was already killed in a plane crash so the reasons for faking his own death are understandable.
The first thing that I instantly liked about this book was how short the paragraphs were. They didn't last more then couple of pages (usually a page or two at most in first part of the book.) This was a good thing because if the chapter is too long and the book is not that well written I lose interest. The Apocalypse Deal didn't have any of those problems so I read the book fairly quickly (I read it ages ago but couldn't get to the review writing bit because of all the other work I need to do. Sorry about that!)
The book is mainly based on uncovering a fraud that could mess up the whole worlds economy. In the process he meets Anna and well I can't tell you a lot more because it would be a spoiler.
I enjoyed this book for multiple reasons besides the fact that the chapters were short.
Reasons:
1. It was well written
2.The characters were interesting
3.Daniel has an unusual characteristic (some would call it a power)
4. It was set in multiple countries (one of them was Germany!)
5. Characters moved around (a lot!)
6.This was a genre I hadn't really tried before
7. And well, this was a good book
