Truly my favorite book, the philosophical thoughts, the description of dream nature, reincarnation Mishima is my favorite author and with this book he confirmed my thoughts about him kiyoaki although his action are questionable and loathsome is my favorite character. In the book at the very beginning it tells us that he is a very melancholic character, that he don't desire anything he is mostly not fazed by anything but the one thing that seems to move him is sakoto. In the end, he will be in love with her his melancholy gone because sakoto became his purpose, his love for her made him desire something, and it's not reciprocated feelings since he knows she loves him (which he use sometimes as a somewhat threat) but being together I noticed that the moment he came to know of the engagement of sakoto with the prince he rushed toward her.He loves pain.He only show and realize he love her once she became unaccessible, untouchable, forbidden and in a sense kiyoaki and maybe cherished her because she was impossible to obtain. He is truly a complex character, his end was only what he deserved yet it broke my heart, but it was logical his purpose to live, he couldn't touch or even see her so what was he going to do ? Death was the only option, a melancholic soul a him couldn't live after seeing what he wanted yet couldn't grab it.
