Man, I had expectations, I really tried but I found this book unbearable. Fitzgerald’s writing style is present and I think that’s the only thing I enjoyed about this book, that rich and beautiful prose. But there was a lack of plot altogether and I felt like I was reading something that was going nowhere. Like absolutely nowhere. I didn’t care about what was happening because there wasn’t a reason to do so and I wanted to finish as soon as possible.
It’s different and experimental to a certain point but I don’t think it payed off for me, like everything fell flat.
