While there were a few stand-out stories, the second installment of 'From a Certain Point of View' was a bit lacking compared to the first one for me. It seems like the authors chosen weren't totally interested in actually exploring the event in the movie. I had a hard time with a lot of the stories having meandered so far from the actual story that the only thing in common was the physical settings. Instead of utilizing on-screen characters half of the book focused solely on OCs which was kind of disappointing. Overall I think that the editor probably should have tightened up the number of stories and changed up a few prompts.
For me, 5 Star reads include:
- "Hunger": Mark Oshiro
- "A Good Kiss": C.B. Lee
-"She Will Keep Them Warm": Delilah S. Dawson
-"A Naturalist on Hoth": Hank Green
- "The Dragonsnake Saves R2-D2": Katie Cook
-"Rendezvous Point": Jason Fry
-"Amara Kel's Rules for TIE Pilot Survival (Probably)": Django Wexler
- "This Is No Cave": Catherynne M. Valente
- "Tooth and Claw": Michael Kogge
-"Standard Imperial Procedure": Sarwat Chadda
- "There Is Always Another": Mackenzi Lee
-"Bespin Escape": Martha Wells
Other stories I enjoyed include:
- "Beyond Hope": Michael Moreci
-"STET!": Daniel José Older
- "Wait for It": Zoraida Córdova
-"Fake It Till You Make It": Cavan Scott
-"No Time for Poetry": Austin Walker
-"Into the Clouds": Karen Strong
-"The Backup Backup Plan": Anne Toole
-"Right-Hand Man": Lydia Kang

45/45 books read this year, ending the challenge with a very fun star wars novel that, at points, made me cry. Loved how many lesbians were involved.
