Wonderful, wonderful stories. Especially loved Jeremy Bastian's and Katie Cook's.
Also, more Mouse Guard is always good.

I liked the set up of this book. It's essentially a Canterbury Tales kind of story, where David Petersen is writing the opening bit and connecting pieces and each tale is authored by a different guest author. Some of the guest tales were good and beautifully illustrated, but I found most of them rather unsatisfying. They were either too short or unformed.

The art is beautiful, but the stories are so short! I wanted more. Which I suppose is a good sort of criticism...

I enjoyed this collection of short stories by different collaborators, all set in the world of the Mouse Guard, but I think I'm in the market for another long story about Lieam and his friends now.

Warrior mice! In Medieval mice-world! What more can you ask for??
I didn't realize that this isn't the first in the series when I started it. (It has a "1" on the spine, but turns out it's a companion-type book). Definitely going to check out the main Mouse Guard books now!
This is instead a collection of tales set in the Mouse Guard world, each drawn by a different author, tied together by the narrative frame of a story-telling competition. I know some people dislike when art styles change a lot within a single comic, but I've always loved it! I really enjoy getting to sample different artists' styles.
Great stories, great art, cute but fierce mice!
