I have enjoyed all of the Halle shifter books. But something was missing--Chloe's happy ever after. I am so pleased that Ms. Bell finally wrote Jim and Chloe's story. It has been an emotional roller coaster following Chloe. Keeping with Chloe's history in past books, even the happy ever after has some challenges. Along with the challenges of love, problems continue to increase for Chloe and the others of Halle. More and more hunters are coming to town leaving us with questions. What is the significance of the white fur? Who is ordering the capture/attacks? Why is it happening? Hopefully I will find out in the next book.

Such a great story. I am so glad that Jim finally came to his senses and mated with Chloe. After her attack that happened earlier in the series she still has some lingering affects, but he accepts her for the way that she is and loves her. I love the characters Dana Marie Bell creates and can never wait to get my hands on the next one.

While i didn't like this one as much as the first three, i did still like it though. Her speech issues do make some entertaining reading:) and the introduction of the brother as a new character is good. looking forward to many more books in this series.

I wad expecting a little more from this one as the continuing storyline has my interest and the writing had noticeably been improving through the last few books. Unfortunately, it missed the mark and I felt the tension that had been building between Jim and Chloe in previous books was all too easily resolved in lieu of the overarching mystery plot.

I am desapointed and pissed. It seems the plot will need 10 more books to be sorted. I am ready to give up. How many time to we need to be explained each kind of shifters gift??? How many time do we need to be told the "prophecy"??? I want resolution, those 2 last books have brought us nothing.

I loved seeing these two reach understanding both together and by themselves. They had personal struggles that they needed to grow through and relationship ones they needed to work out together. I felt both Chloe and Spencer's illnesses and disabilities were handled with grace and strength without ignoring the reality of loss and sadness in the aftermath of trauma.

Chloe Williams was devastated when her mate refused to acknowledge her. It has been four years and she is still waiting. Now though Chloe is different after an attack left her rehabilitating and speech impaired.

James Woods knows he has a lot to make up to his mate, but he had his reasons. Finding out that Chloe had been injured though brings him to his knees. She was his to protect and he never wants her to regret being his mate again. However there are others who seem intent on destroying Chloe and James is pulling her closely in to make sure it never happens.
