This is my introduction to Lori Rader-Day and I’ll read more from her. The complex familial relationships, especially the somewhat complicated mother-and-son relationship where nurture wins out, had me enjoying these characters. I’m a sucker for a dysfunctional family drama with a little murder on the side, and this was a quick, enjoyable read.

The author did an excellent job taking the story of a troubled family and breaking their lives wide open for us to examine after a whopper of a discover on a remote part of their property.
I listened to this book.
