[4 Stars] I’m finally in new Ryder Creed books and because I’m reading this 2 years into a pandemic, this book was pretty accurate at portraying that panic and initial spread. Overall it was a great plot with good pacing but the characters are feeling a bit stale at this point and there hasn’t been a lot of development there. Hoping to see some more in future books.

Really good read

Another great book in the Ryder Creed series, however you will need to have read the previous book in this series to understand the storyline but it is a well worth read. Looking forward to the next Ryder book

Reading this book during the COVID pandemic made it 100% scarier. Maggie and Creed are dealing with a new strain of bird flu that may have been purposely released in highly populated cities. Creed and his dogs must track carriers and find the person responsible for the strain.

Really enjoy this series. But I am a sucker for stories with dogs in them, so there's that.

I'm a big fan of everything Alex Kava has written and this one did not let me down.

full disclosure: I won this book in a giveaway. That said, this is one of my favorite books I've read this year. i honestly don't know how many books I've rated a 5 this year, not many.

I've enjoyed Alex Kava's Maggie O'Dell and Ryder Creed series, but to join them together? Genius!

Great suspense, dogs, veterans, potential biological weapons created by crazy people with a diabolical plan for testing and spreading? Excellent book!

Solid series - still the best thing is the time spent talking about training the dogs and the connection between dogs & people.
