Really beautiful illustrations with a story that left me needing more explanation. Luckily the afterword and author notes expand on that some.

it’s interesting to see one of miyazaki's earliest works and how many aspects reoccur in his later, more known works! without alex dudok de wit’s comment at the end it would be very underwhelming
