A wild ride.
Full of tension and unexpected twists, I tried and failed a number of times to predict where it was all going, but at the end looking back all the little things make perfect sense.
Weirdly for being a mystery/thriller, as someone who grew up in the part of Connecticut the book is set, around the same time, it also feels like something of a love letter to it all.

I don’t even know where to start. I guess with the ending? Incredible. I’m sitting here sobbing as I’ve just turned the last page a minute ago. This is one of the best books I have ever read. So many twists and turns… just when you think you’ve got it figured out, you find out you’re wrong. Brilliant.

I’ve read a few Linwood Barclay books (not in order) and decided I needed to read this one. I couldn’t put it down, so much so that I read the whole book in 24 hours. Totally gripping with various twists and turns. The suspense keeps you guessing and doesn’t disappoint with a shocking ending.
