This. Was. Rubbish.
To sum up this issue: what a fail! I think the characters were just as confused as I was as to what was going on! I related so much to this:

And surprise surprise, there were no definitive answers to these questions. Remember all those questions I had in my review of issue #1? NONE OF THEM WERE ANSWERED. Not. Even. One.

As a new comic in itself, this issue FAILS. There were too many callbacks to Wonder Girl’s past that I didn’t get because I’ve never read a Cassie Sandsmark comic. As a relatively new reader in this regard it's not enjoyable to read an issue that keeps subtly referencing things that I can't figure out with a Google search and a dive through the wikia page. Also, why did no one recognise Cassie??
And I don’t get how Tim can be Robin if Damian is technically still Robin and this comic is within DC continuity. How does that work? (If this is just me, or if you can answer these questions please feel free to leave a comment!)

This is cute:

BUT MISLEADING. Why would they put this as the variant cover? Impulse and Superboy weren’t even in this issue!! They’ve gone AWOL with absolutely no explanation. And let’s be real, the reason I came back was to find out why
Superboy had aged
as shown at the end of [b:Young Justice (2019-) #1|43130288|Young Justice (2019-) #1|Brian Michael Bendis|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1546775023s/43130288.jpg|66931262].

This is what I was asking throughout the issue so I’m glad they managed to finally ask the important question... at the end!! *Major facepalm*

The scenes included in this issue were not necessary and the scenes that should have been included weren’t. The whole meeting and exchange between Robin and Amethyst is skipped. They just appear together as if they’re suddenly pals. And the only explanation we get of who Amethyst is is through 2 random guys talking about killing her at the beginning of the issue.
Instead 9 pages are spent following Cassie as she talks to Zeus about a random necklace thing that is not explained AT ALL. They spend 4 pages like this:
Zeus: I think you should have this.
Cassie: Why?
Zeus: You deserve it.
Cassie: No I don’t.
Zeus: I think you do.
Cassie: I’ve been through so much that now I am suspicious of things coming so easily to me so I am going to be difficult and I don’t want it.
IT WAS THE MOST POINTLESS CONVERSATION. And nothing came out of it! What a waste of a whole load of pages in what is already a too-short issue.

I can’t decide if the references to other comics are just thrown around as reminders to the reader that this is within DC continuity or to remind Bendis that he writes for DC now. Mentions of Zatanna, Beast Boy, Teen Titans, New Outsiders, etc, were littered throughout. It's either a cute shout-out or a very forced reminder that this is a comic trying to stay relevant. Take your pick¯\(°-°)/¯.

All in all, this is a mess of an issue. Shoddy plot with far too many questions to, at this point, be enjoyable. It’s just confusing. Disappointing and a waste of time.
