I liked the first story so much better than the second.

I really love Kevin Hearne's work. These two tales added even more depth to two of his main characters.

4 stars-this short audiobook consists of two short stories. The first (.6) is a prequel to the series and both interesting and amusing. The second (3.5) is a solo story featuring Granuelle before she has become a full druid. If you are a fan of the series, you will absolutely enjoy these two stories. For me, this entire series is a pure guilty pleasure. It isn't great literature, nor does it have any profound message other than respect for the earth, but the entire series is pure joy and amusement. Each story is a fun diversion. Take as needed.

Interesting, I still love Atticus, but The narrator read these different than the main stories.

Short and fabulous. A pre-story for Atticus and Oberon has everything to love about their connection. Grannuille's testing is excellent and immediately puts the reader to empathize get with her character including the reasons she does what she does.

Fun read that fills in some gaps

I am enjoying the Iron Druid Chronicles immensely, this additional background information fulfills this addiction nicely. This short ebook contains two short stories. The first occurs before “Hounded”. I am glad to have read the second story - “A Test of Mettle” - right after finishing “Hammered” as they occur at the same time.

All in all two quick and fun reads.
