Frantic about how long it took me to read this, especially considering how much it drew me in. I so wanted to just keep reading. Marc is a fully realised character with flaws and failings, but with so many many great features too. The narrative brings in death & grief, total focus & commitment as well as friendship, love and most of all, a wry, dry wit. Loved it!
