Read as part of #SmutAThon for the challenge "a vacation romance." I'm not a huge romance reader, but I'm trying to get into it (thus #smutathon).
I adored this book. The characters were relatable and realistic, their connection was great, the romance was fiiire. The banter and flirting was SOOO realistic for me like I can pinpoint exact lines and emotions in this book that are almost identical to moments in my own life, which is wild.
I think the added "drama" that went down with the side characters was not necessary. It wasn't something I enjoyed or was into, in fact, it made me feel very uncomfortable. Another thing I didn't like was the discussion of our protagonist's body. She called herself curvey, the writing leaned to you believing she was larger or plus size, but the other characters were thrown off by her comments, leading me to believe this was dysmorphia or exaggeration on the part of our main character. While a lot of people are self-conscious about their body, I didn't like how this was portrayed and not addressed. To be fair, our protag does say she likes her body, which was EPIC regardless of your shape/size, I just wish she wouldn't have had so many comments on it if it wasn't going to be a plot point in the story because it came off weird to me. This is probably not something that will bug most people.
Oh also, the constant Harry Potter references... can we not?

I loved this book! It was funny, lighthearted, easy going. It was also great when it touched on Ethan and Olives jobs and how you should love what you do for your life’s work, not just work because you are really good at something, but because you also actually like it.
