I read this series not in order. I read book number 5 first then I picked up the first book. To my surprise, I like the first book less. I think I do not like it due to Cole. He is very very coward character. For a ex military member, he does not understand about honor and bravery.

The push and pull he done to Jenna is so annoying. Jenna is typical likeable heroine. Sweet, loyal, tender and lovely. All those likeable character. But it can not help Cole flaw. The story itself is sweet and short. But not too cheesy. I am a fan of Miss Fox works by now. Se can write a short sweet romantic that tugged my heart.

But the ending is bit OTT.

Overall I enjoy this book OK.

I have to say this book surprised me. I had gotten this book not expecting a whole lot from it thought it would be a nice fluff read. Was I surprised when it turned out to have a wonderful story line and made me very emotional. I can't wait to read the other books in this series.

Omg this book made me cry! I listened to it on audible and I think it only took 5hrs, so a short listen for me. With both of them having their own troubles and especially Cole’s troubles it really brought home to me what our men and women go through when protecting our country! Not only their jobs, but the friends and family they lose. Thank you to our men and women who fight for our country, and if you need someone to talk to, I hope you will message me xox

The blurb for this sounded so interesting, but I wound up almost hating the book! Cole was obsessed with not wanting Gemma, and yet he gets involved with her. Then, he continually hurts her by saying that the relationship is wrong and running away from her! Gemma at least was more mature about the whole situation, but I kept wondering what she saw in Cole. Gemma's mom meddled entirely too much for my tastes, to the point where I wanted to smack her silly! The only redeeming factor in this book was the plot thread about the dogs! Not the author's best work, and I won't be continuing the series.

A fun story! I enjoyed the relationship between the characters and the dog training sideline as well. A good read

I liked this book about a soldier suffering from PTSD and a his best friends sister and how they fall in love with some bumps along the way. Add in some dogs along the way ans what is not to like.
