This one felt like I was reading a mafia crime novel! Not a bad thing.

I'm giving this volume 2.5 so the rounded up score is 3.
The story for this volume consists of 2 parts. The first one follows CCG and its investigators and the 2nd part is about Kaneki doing his own investigations about Dr. Kano and Rize. The Kaneki part is purely enjoyable. The CCG part...well...disappointing.
The chemistry between Amon and Akira is...UNBEARABLE
Their investigations are...HORRIBLE. They find a clue and deduce the rest based on their...HUNCH??! and their deductions are...CORRECT??! Come one, that's just lazy writing.
And to top it all, they name their quinkes? That's utter lame. This is not Game of Thrones. And how does Juzo's quinke design prove efficient in a combat? Great question! I have a hunch I won't be satisfied with the answer.
Note to self: it's totally visible at this point how the anime creators ruined the anime by diverging from the manga plot. I'll be going after The Promised Neverland too.
