I was told not to read this book. That is was awful and a waste of time and the writing was horrible. I’m glad that I didn’t listen and decided to think for myself instead of listen to other’s opinions. I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I think I can understand why some people didn’t like it but I guess this just proves that you can’t please everybody.

Did the yeoman’s work of answering questions asked by HoXPoX, but could have been fewer issues. Also, too many Avengers for my taste.

The first chapter of this story started really strong, had some great moments both emotionally and with a good balance of action and quippy superhero fun, the middle started to feel like Williams was spinning wheels to stretch the story about a bit, and the end made me realize the whole thing would have been more impactfully delivered if they kept it down to a two or three issue arc instead of spreading out across a five-issue event. Honestly, this has kind of become my issue with comic events in general over the last few years - The publishers are all pushing their artists to give them packageable products that can sell across formats, and the stories suffer for it.
