I received this book as a ARC for a upcoming blog tour, but since I didn’t sign up for a ARC I wasn’t sure if I would read it. But of course I can’t say no to a book without at least taking a peak.
So when I opened it and saw the first paragraph was “A priest, a witch and a demigod walk into a bar. No joke” I thought this could be an interesting read.

I found the beginning of this book to be a little confusing because it throws you right into an action scene without introducing any of the characters. Therefore, it was hard to follow who was doing what and why in the first few pages. I kept reading, though, and am glad I did. This book was pure fun. It is not a literary classic in the making, but it was enjoyable and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes this genre. I would not recommend it to anyone who would be uncomfortable reading about a priest who is seriously tempted (no, really...seriously) to break his vows. I will be looking for the sequel to this one!

Read the whole thing with a half-smile on my face. I don't think there's a single chapter which isn't about sex in some way, but it's all pretty hysterical. Not sure I'll read more by this author, but entertained nonetheless.

Pure & Sinful had me hooked straight away especially with the opening line. With Demons, Witches, Demigods and Priests what more could you ask for. I really liked Riona’s character she was a pure soul along with Dee the demigod and Marc the priest but Riona’s boundaries for sins are a little different from Father Marc Angeletti, who’s boundaries are very strict.
Seeing their relationship trying to be denied but knowing that surely they would give in to temptation eventually it made for a great read and vanquishing demons too the book was brilliant.

Very well written and a fantastic read.

Didn't really connect with the book's humor. Everything is so over sexualized that it bypasses adult and crosses over to juvenile.

The idea of this story is good, however the execution is lacking. The book is written as if I should know what’s going on. I kept thinking, “wait, is this the second book in the story?” I could get past that, but the chemistry between the two love interests was lacking. Not only that, but the main female is not my cup of tea. She’s way too, “act now and ask questions never,” type. Confidence is great, cocky is not. This was not only a turn off, but made the character feel too basic, like not a real person. Perhaps she develops by the end of the book, but with this and the other flaws of the book, I just didn’t care to stick it out to see if she does become a “real person.”

It has been a while since I have read a paranormal read.
I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this but I miss paranormal from time to time and sometimes you find stories that can be just a little too cheesy and this one was really good.
I was pulled in and wanted to know where things were going to go and although I thought I knew where things were going there were a few moments that I wasn't 100% sure and had to just keep reading.

That ending though, I was not expecting that one. I was a bit surprised. I will more than likely read the next. :)

This was a fast read. I want sure if I would like it since I felt like the beginning was just jump into the middle of the story. I did like it after a few chapters had settled and I was in the world. It was different and I liked that.

Read as part of [b:Our Own Brand of Heroine|21838990|Our Own Brand of Heroine|Laura Bradley Rede|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1396446686s/21838990.jpg|41105771]. Eh. The setup was so obvious that it felt like a slog to get there. Some fun worldbuilding but shortchanged by uninteresting romance. Perhaps later books in the series would be better.
