This is a fantastic book about the battle of Britain. My one complaint that did affect my reading experience was the writing style and specifically the placement of certain commas, which made it so that it was harder for me to read the sentence the way it was intended. I think that is in part of Britain versus United States Syntax thing though. I did really enjoy this because I think the author brings a personal look from both sides to the battle. I love how he addresses, both personal experiences of pilots and the broader strategy and the higher ups. If you’re looking for a an excellent  Book about the battle of Britain this is it.

I would probably give this book a 2.5. I listened to the Audible version. About half of the book goes through the year 1940, the Battle of France and Dunkirk and then there is about a third of what was left was background on the objectives and the German machinery primarily being used. Very little time is actually spent on the Battle of Britain itself. This would be a good book entitled "The Year 1940" or something of that nature, but it is not mostly about the battle.
