Dit boek is veel leuker wanneer je het zelf niet moet vertalen 8u05 op een maandag in een vooruur Latijn

BY FAR the best translation of the Metamorphoses, and that's coming from someone who's fairly obsessed with Ovid. Exceedingly excellent.

I liked the first two thirds a lot but the last third starts getting into the Iliad and the Odyssey and it was a little boring to me.

Also reading original myths is like reading the source material for your favorite fairy tales. It will most definitely ruin them and rob you of your innocence. I don’t know if I would have been mentally well in Ancient Rome.

Also, I worked on a production of Mary Zimmerman’s stage adaptation of Metamorphoses in high school, so re-reading those stories that also appeared in the play was really nostalgic and brought back a lot of happy memories for me.
