I was trally enjoying this book for the first half or so, but felt like the way the ending was written and paced brought down my opinion of the book as a whole.  Great spice ( 4🌶) and lootttssss of sexual tension.  It was a fun read, but I'm not sure if the plot could have stood well on its own if it weren't a spicy romantasy.  I'd still recommend it, especially if you like possessive MMCs and subtle Dom vibes.

It was fine. I don’t know what else to say, honestly. I enjoyed it enough to finish it but I don’t know if I’d recommend it to anyone.

Loved this,  fast paced drama. For people who enjoyed The cruel Prince series or ACOTAR this is a likely win of a read, characters who are very interesting and mysterious,  a race against time, and a dark romance.
The Story is very spicy so be aware of that,  however wether that is your thing to read or not the adventure is very page turning .
I would have liked to hear more descriptions of the worlds throughout , it was way more about the people but the atmosphere was captured well and I definitely want to read the follow up later in the year.
It was a no hesitation 5!

Another lovely contribution to the Seven Circles universe, Kerri Maniscalco has expanded on Envy’s story, which I was personally dying to learn more about after finishing the Kingdom of the Wicked series. This tale is full of games, deception, and yes, lots of heated romance. While I think there were a number of plot holes, the characters were so compelling that it didn’t matter much to me. Highly suggest reading, especially if you miss the Kingdom of the Wicked universe, as there are many callbacks!

I very much enjoyed this read

What I liked
  • Dialogue is fun, witty, and clever
  • Flirting game that ran throughout the book. It made the sexy parts WAY hotter
  • Court Intrigue is fun, esp the relationships between the princess of sin
  • The book is a game/tournament/challenge plot line, and the contest is well crafted

What I didn't like
  • It's a long book, which I don't really mind. It makes it a slower read, but it also doesn't feel like it drags anywhere. I did reach chapter 69, which I thought was the last one, and was like "Ha! Ending on 69!" But I was wrong, and there were about 5 more chapters that I did kind of think we didn't need :D
  • Some of the courts of sin have a backdrop of lots of people having public sex, and that ceased to shock or charm me in any way a loooooooong time ago

This is the first of the series, and I will probably not continue right away because it was a LOT of emotional whiplash, and I need to go read a rom com for aftercare or something

The amount of tabs I have in this book is ridiculous!!! I just LOOOOVE Camilla & Envy!! And the sass!!! Camilla is so sassy, I love it!! She gives it right back to Envy, beating him at his own games! 💚
The twists & turns in this book were incredible too! Some I saw coming, some that took me completely by surprise!
And all the references from Kingdom Of The Wicked! And the jealousy between Envy & Camilla is on point! I can’t get enough of it! I already want to reread it!
In the words of Kerri herself..
"For those who can’t help falling for the villain and love a sinfully wicked fairy tale, this one is for you."
