I loved everything about this!!! So many amazing annotated titles for young readers and inspiring stories and words about how story connects us. This is a must for every teacher, librarian, and school administrator.

This was the best professional book I have ever read (for a school librarian). John discusses all the ways that stories connect us, teach us empathy, and make us better people. Every school librarian should read this book.

This book was a warm and fuzzy inspirational read that not only gave focus to my job of sharing a love of reading, but reenergized it as well.

Schu explores story as: healer, inspiration, clarifier, compassion, and connector, and offers numerous books for each category. A great resource although I skipped over much of the discussion about specific books because I have too many books to read already and its just gonna result in me finding more books I want to read.
