This review may be partly my fault - I didn’t do as much research as I should have going into this book. It was labeled as YA and romance, so I went in expecting YA and romance

This book is neither. It’s a revised screenplay of one of those made for TV rom coms that you watch one day in your grandma’s house and remember vaguely for the rest of your life because it’s just so terrible.

It’s Wattpad writing on steroids. Seriously, the love interest’s name is Rascal. RASCAL. The MC’s name is NICOLETTE. This book would have done NUMBERS on Wattpad back in the day.

I’ll admit I may be a little unnecessarily mean. It’s a cute brainless rom com if that’s your kind of thing, but don’t go into this book expecting any kind of coherent plot, likeable characters or good writing

I love cute romance books that are fluffy and great. This is one of them.

This was a cute story and a book you can (and I did) read in one sitting.

While the back of the book makes it seem as if there were 10 things that the protagonist did to the prom dress which resolved all of her issues, the 10 uses were really just in her imagination, for the most part.

I liked the characters and felt they were pretty authentic. There were a couple scenarios that didn't ring quite true, but I'll let a lot slide for the sake of entertaining fiction.

I almost gave this book four stars, but there were a few things that bothered me. Mainly I felt that Jared's saying he liked her felt weird. I think it was the dialogue, and maybe it was a bit rushed as well. I just didn't feel it was consistent with his character the rest of the book. At first I actually thought she was dreaming or something, and I was kind of disappointed when she wasn't.

The part with her best friend felt rushed as well. I just don't see things going that way, and I think a few added scenes would have helped make it less rushed, and more realistic.

Overall I did enjoy the book; it was better than I expected it to be and I loved the characters, especially Nicolette. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

I enjoy this book for the love story and the fact that some girls actually have all this happen to them. It really brings me joy to go back and read over the horribly cheesy love paragraph. The storyline over all was horrible but I love how that just brings it all together.

This book was okay. The pacing was fine, but the events were a bit random in some places. I liked the evolution of Jared and Nic's relationship. I disliked Alison, and I thought Zoe was cooler. I'm glad Nic patched her relationship with her dad up. This book was pretty generic, and cliche, but it wasn't horrible. Very much a 3 star book. I wouldn't really recommend it, as it could be pretty frustrating at some points.

I first read this in high school and completely loved it! It's a cute little book, a quick read, and enjoyable to the end!
It is a bit simple/predictable, but sometimes predictability is exactly what we need in our lives! I still reread this on occasion, if I'm looking for something happy and familiar!
