Damn, another unexpected treat. I've been trudging my way through a whole bunch of reverse harem type books lately – some more dire than others, some even pretty decent. But I kind of learned not to expect *too* much, you know?
Even so, I'm by nature and design a pretty critical reader – so it was actually something of a relief how much I enjoyed this. It was thoughtful, layered and very well written. An better yet, managed to avoid (or at least subvert) pretty much all of my most abhorred tropes of the genre. Good job Ms. Lucas.
