I loved this book so much... seeing the world through the eyes of Bailey/Ellie/Buddy was eye-opening. I know that the book represents how one author theorizes a dog would think about the world, but it made me consider more deeply my own dog's experiences. I cried several times for reasons I won't divulge here (but I think would be obvious anyway). It's a very easy read once you get used to the way Bailey views the world, and it requires a lot of inference as Bailey doesn't always understand exactly what is going on (ex: humans "wrestling"). I look forward to reading the other books in this series. :)

"I will miss you doddle dog."

Whilst different from its film counterpart this book finds itself holding a piece of my heart. Reading from a dog's perspective was a unique experience but I do love Baileys innocence on his views of the world. Watching him fall in love with the ways of man, and finding his purpose of life, his purpose in the world. I was so happy to watching him helping and making his mark.

I knew the premise of the book, being that Bailey is a dog, who had the ability to live multiple lives. Yet, if you think that i didn't completely ball my eyes out each time Bailey moved into a new life, but that was nothing to how hard I cried at the ending of the book.

I know for sure that I will now continue to with Baileys journey in the next book.

“My purpose, my whole life, had been to love him and be with him, to make him happy. I didn’t want to cause any unhappiness now—in that way, I decided it was probably better than he wasn’t here to see this, though I missed him so much at that moment the ache of it was as bad as the strange pains in my belly.”

This was so heartwarming and beautiful and something I didn't know I needed in my life.

It's written in such a perfectly innocent way, it's exactly how I picture dogs actually thinking/processing the world. I can't even put into words what I loved so much about this book because I loved it all. It had me feeling all of the feelings, happiness, hope, anger and utter heartbreak, many, many tears were cried during the reading of this book.

I have a terrible memory but I don't think I'll ever forget this beautiful story.

This was such a good book. I could not put it down. I thought it would just be a 3 star before I started it. A easy happy Saturday read but soon found out that this would be my first true 5 star for this year. Loved it 5+

I laughed out loud and cried like a baby! Every dog owner should read this book! This is one of the best books I have ever read and was so excited to find a sequel to it! The author did a perfect job of telling the story as a dog.. Really makes me wonder what my dogs are thinking all the time! Love, love, love!!!
