Oh, Molly Lou Melon, I'm so glad you're back!
I love this story, where Molly Lou and her new neighbor, Gertrude, find so much pleasure in making their own imaginative fun, but the art is what totally gets me. Love love love the art.
Pair it with "Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon" for the most fun way to teach the Common Core Standard of Integrating Knowledge & Ideas.

Definitely as good as the first Molly Lou. I love the combination of a clear message, wonderful illustrations, humor and a great story.

I have loved little Molly Lou since she stacked pennies on her teeth. This new adventure is just as lovely and brave as the first, and the nod toward creativity and the "maker" movement that is popular right now makes this an excellent mentor text or read aloud for groups that aren't quite sure about jumping forward with their own creativity. As before, the illustrations are as bold and beautiful as Molly Lou and her Grandma - just perfect! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to watch those SKY-wide movies in the clouds.

Molly Lou Melon is the best! When a new girl moves next door Molly shares all the wonderful ways she has learned to create her own fun.
