Four stars for the last book. Definitely not as good as the second book in my opinion, but fun all the same. This last book read more like a fairytale and I think it wrapped everything up nicely.

holly Black writes a world lush with faeries that are dark. A world full of trickery, political intrigue, and the most gorgeously described dresses I’ve ever read. Jude and Cardan may not live on in my head, but the world of Faerie will. You can tell Holly Black plotted this out as a trilogy.

There’s a lot of disappointments around Jude being a stock character, but I disagree. This book she didn’t have as much of an arc though as Book 2.

This was a really wonderful ending to this trilogy.

I love Jude, and I really feel like I'm losing something with the end of her story. I even ended up liking Taryn, and I really didn't see a change in hell of that happening, but here we are.

This book is so filled with scheming and everyone trying to trick and conive and go behind everyone's backs. It was so much fun, even with such high stakes.

I loved seeing a more real side to Cardan rather than the mask that he's been wearing for so long. And getting to know The Roach, The Ghost, and The Bomb more. All of the characters are so well developed that I formed an attachment with all of them. Oh, my heart. Quick shout out here to Heather, too. My heart really hurt for her, and I'm so happy with where she ended up.

I love the balance that this series has with the politics, and the relationship building, and the character development. It really doesn't get much better than this for me.
