This is absolutely adorable and I loved it. Similar to Heartstopper but add baking in a costal town.

BLOOM was a very cute LGBTQ graphic novel and as a romance reader I hope to see more romance based graphic novels going forward. The art was really adorable and I loved the two toned coloring of white and blue. While I liked the plot and loved Hector, I found Ari a bit annoying and too immature for Hector. Age is never really expressed but I believe Ari is 18 years old so I expect him to make mistakes and struggle with being a new adult and that's totally fine. But Hector, who I think is a year or two older, is incredibly settled, mature, and put together. Because of this, it felt like their relationship was unbalanced and that Ari was too young for Hector.

This graphic novel was so cute! I loved that Hector helped Ari find himself and make him try figure out what he wants. I didn’t particularly like some of Ari’s behavior such as defending his friends when they bullied Hector and leaving him alone for months before finding him and asking for forgiveness. But I like that he grew and they ended up together. The artwork and color scheme was simply GORGEOUS and the perfect summer read. However, some of the time jumps were unnecessary and weird and their relationship wasn’t as fleshed out but looking forward to reading the next one! I feel like some of my enjoyment also came form the fact that they reminded me so much of the characters in Heartstopper which is one of my favorite graphic novel series ever.

Also, this is the first physical book I’ve read after like a year, and it felt so good to actually have a book in my hands again.
