I think this one just wasn’t for me. Maybe listening to it on audiobook was distracting, as there are three different narrators. I also didn’t love the chapters where we jumped around to other characters. This issue could have also been that I read this because someone recommended it after I asked for romance novel recs, and I think romance isn’t the driving force here. Overall it was sweet and sad.

I was blown away by this book. At first I struggled a bit with suspension of disbelief  when it came to accepting the premise of  infallible death date prediction. Since everything else about the book’s setting was so true to reality it felt extra implausible to imagine that kind of certainty. But once I stopped trying to argue with the premise, the characters and the journey of their last day was so compelling I couldn’t put it down.

I highly recommend listening to the audiobook. The performances are masterful and really bring the characters to life.

I had to take breaks reading this book, but was so glad I finished it. What a beautiful story that had me sobbing by the end.

I love a good gay romance but this one felt so forced. I did not feel any romance before the playground. It was still an interesting book but did not like the ending. Rufus’s death was disappointing.
