Oh the pain, the embarrassment, the worry of middle school. Kids can be so cruel, for no explicable reason. Pile on a heaping serving of anxiety, and there’s a perfect recipe for a mess. Rory figures it out in time, but we’re along for the ride until she does, through the bullying, and panic attacks. Her faith and her family play a big role in helping her through the tough parts. The author paints a realistic picture of the challenges faced every day by an often overlooked age-group.
