I’M NOT CRYING, YOUR CRYING!
Ahhhhh, honestly this ended up being even better than I had thought it was going to be.
Bite of Justice completed the four book arc of the Blood Oath series beautifully. The main players get their HEA and every storyline that had been opened was neatly locked shut and finished.
My favourite parts:
- Okay literally the entire book
- Chapter Eight. I thought BoV Chapter 17 had been it, it wasn’t it, it was almost it, but Chapter Eight. Chapter Eight truly was THE MOMENT.
- The “Why Choose” Trope is honestly one of my favourites.
What I think could've been improved:
- The editing was a little rough. I haven’t really had issues with the other books in the series, but for whatever reason it did feel the editing on this one needed to be… edited ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What I didn't enjoy:
- Nothing to add.
Things they said that live rent free in my head:
- “Close that pretty mouth, Princess. I dont want anyone else waking up. I want you to myself for a few moments while I have my breakfast.” (Lincoln I did not ask to be attacked like this but never change.)
- “Don’t. You. Fucking. Dare. Your ass is mine tonight.” (Andrei, down boy)
- “You wouldn’t make me command that of you, would you Comoroa? You’re a good girl and want to swallow for me…” (Drake, woah)

I love all the series in the Dark Imaginarium Academy Universe but I was especially excited to discover how this series was gonna end. So much has happened in the first three books and it really feels like the heroine and her guys have so much yet to do to get their happily ever after. Luckily my arc for this book came in last week and it was the perfect book to accompany me today on my way to work and back home.
This finale is everything I had hoped this finale to be. There is a lot of angst in the first three books and a lot has gone wrong but in this book things are finally going right. Of course that doesn't mean it's all easy. Our characters really have to fight for everything but they've learned a lot during the last few books and they know what is needed to get what they want. The last few chapters were therefore incredibly satisfying.
I also liked how Alina and her guys are figuring out how to work and live and love together in this book. The guys still had a little bonding to do but in this book they're discovering that since they're important to Alina they're also important to each other. It's nice to see these guys working together instead of trying to undermine each other. It's clear that Alina, with her ambition and her coping mechanisms, needs all three of them.
I also liked that we got to see glimpses into the futures of quite some side characters in the story. Just like I loved how all the characters, and the readers, have to consider that maybe fate might be a thing and that maybe even the bad things happen for a reason. After all, Alina wouldn't have found her mates if the worst hadn't happened to her. Also, in this book Alina also FINALLY takes her time to properly grief and deal with all her emotions. Not easy to read, but a very good thing to show!
