I think I enjoyed the plot of this one much more. I forgot to say this about the first one: I don't know if it's the adaptation or if that's just the way the novel is, but I find that we can skip from event and characters are introduced without much explanation. I have a feeling at least some of it is the adaptation as there were some themes that I was looking out for in this one that didn't come up - at least if they did it was VERY subtle. I also just find it hard to keep up on occasion. And there are some questions very much still lingering for me that I really hope are answered as the story continues.
