The first half of the book was very captivating and intriguing. But

after Ted's death,

the story just went downhill with an abrupt ending. I also didn't like that women were overly sexualized. The detective writes highly inappropriate limericks (that doesn't move plot forward or anything), and I hated that character.

Thank god for reference librarians! After asking for some thriller recommendations I was pointed in this direction and I was not disappointed!

The characters are interesting, the plot intense... And the twists! And the ending!

I think the only thing that annoyed me during this one was the ongoing use of the line "when I murder my wife" or "I'm going to kill my wife" throughout the entire first part of the novel... I think it was getting on my nerves because I was reading it on every page of a Ted chapter at least once!

I would recommend this one to anyone!
