Solidly entertaining.

Things to Bring, Things to Burn, Things Best Left Behind is a slanted look at depression, and has one of the best lines describing it I've encountered. "It's beautiful, and he still wants to die." It's bold in its open discussion of depression and suicide, and the relief and empowerment of realizing you aren't required to forgive harm.

I really liked the misconception that Incense is a wonder story. When it slides into darkness, you get a thrill.

10 Steps to a Whole New You is tricksy with language and rhythm, and I loved reading an older protagonist. Like other work by Liburd, no punches are pulled, and the rawness is worn openly.

I laughed at The Billionaire Shapeshifter's Ex-Wives Club. A smartly humorous dialogue story with a clever premise.

My favorite part of the whole magazine was the poem, "like the gator leaves the snake" by Maria Zoccola.
