For being as short as it was, this book seemed longer with a full story and rich storytelling. What I found most interesting was how it shows how toxic a relationship can be, and yet how someone can still be so deeply entangled with it that it becomes difficult to leave. Constanta’s recounting of events showed just how manipulative someone can be, showering their victims with love and affection, while simultaneously keeping them isolated and controlling every aspect of their life.

I enjoyed the book for what it was, the writing flowed nicely and the relationship explored between them all was very well done

Only wish that we'd have had more from their visits to each new place they ended up, but the book is generally more character based than plot so it makes sense to skim that.
