This book was SO FUN! This series continues to bring me laughs and sighs and STEAM. One of my favorite romance troupes is a secret relationship and this one was so well done and fun to read. I love how the transition from enemies to secret lovers happened for Theo and Maddie and how surprised they were by it. Lots of hook ups and near misses kept it engaging and I really enjoyed getting to know both Theo and Maddie. Maddie is so strong and I appreciate how she stands up for herself to Theo's sometimes abrupt or even rude manner. I love how Theo was not who he seemed to be at first. The ending was really well done and another really fun romance in this series.

Because between work and home, I didn't have the time or energy like I hoped I would. Then I had to return the book to the library. I really DID want to keep reading it though.

Like the other books in the series: pleasant, unextraordinary--but elevated by occasional flashes of political and social nuance that I really appreciate. Guillory's characters do always feel rooted in the real world, not some carefully styled (and blindingly white) Nancy Meyers-land.
Goddamn do they eat a lot of pizza, though. I actually started to feel a little logy, there's so much pizza consumed in this book.
Alexa steals the show at the end with her rant (and her cookie meltdown), but I think my favorite book in this series is still The Proposal.

Enemies to lovers, love it. Really cute, though I think I would've gotten more out of it if I'd read this sooner after [b:The Wedding Date|33815781|The Wedding Date (The Wedding Date, #1)|Jasmine Guillory|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1515694525l/33815781._SY75_.jpg|54728554] to connect references with regards to Alexa's life at the periphery of this story. Luckily for me, I checked out this and the next to Guillory books together so I can read them in a row for fresh details.
