Very lovely romance, though with it being so short it felt like the characters and the story weren't really fleshed out.

this was such a cute wlw with so much important representation!! it was so good seeing a pan mc and being able to see myself in a book. there were so many good discussions on young people being pressured to know what they want to do for the rest of their life. their was f/f sex positivity and sex positivity in general. it's the only NA i've ever considered reading.

i hate criticising writing bc i can't write at all, but it's definitely not perfect. there was some instalove and some tropes/cliches, but pls don't let that or my 3 star rating deter you!!! if i did half ratings this would honestly almost be a 4.

this is such a fun, adorable book that's perfect for a quick read. i especially recommend it if in you're a slump or have been reading a lot of heavy/dense books.

This was literally such a cute read. I adored it. The characters are so cute and loving, even the side characters are cute. And in a short amount of pages, you'll want more of every character. This is worth the read.

very cute

This plot was absolutely adorable, it avoided so many of the common pitfalls and tropes from both lgbt and romance literature. Unfortunately the prose could really use some work.

Ah! The cutest f/f novella... set in a bookstore. What more could you ask for? Loved the story, but the writing was a bit choppy and distracted from my overall enjoyment of the book.

This was a very cute book!!! However, the writing was not my favourite and it was kind of instalove (which given the fact that it's a book of 100 pages, is understandable). But I really liked it anyways!

So, what did I love about The Melody of You and Me? Everything. But here are my top reasons & why you should read it too.

“No, actually, I’m pansexual,” Chris answers.

Chris: I adore her. She’s so real. I feel like I know her. And if I knew her in meatspace we’d be friends. Her problems with collage and life are so relatable. The pressure to have it all figured out early and focusing on criteria other than what makes you happy.

She has views that I couldn’t agree more with; Every time she voiced an opinion I was internally screaming “YESSSS!”

Of course, it’s set around a bookstore so there were recognizable references dropping for happy squee moments. Chris has some great taste.

Right above her desk, a small poster says, Kiss all the pizza, eat all the girls.

Romance: Chris and Josie are great people separately and OMFG adorbs squared together. Chris is the awkward shy one while Josie’s flirty and upfront.

There’s some time jumping so while it’s a novella, it’s not instalove. It’s attraction, friends, and then lovers. It’s perfect. How they’re there for each other and their banter charmed me. They’re compatible and I can easily see this working out. In fact, it’s harder to ever see them split up.

Though you might want to be careful reading this around other people. I started this book when it was slow at work and hit that first sex scene like (embarrassed smiley). But maybe that’s just me.

Progressive as Fuck. Seriously. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series and find out the other characters happy endings!

This is a super short book so everything happens fast and I'm not really used to it and didn't particularly like that but for a quick read it was very enjoyable and Josie is soooo adorable omg!
