Prima storia degli X-Men, dove conosciamo il Professor Xavier e gli studenti Ciclope, Bestia (che non è blu), Angelo, l'Uomo Ghiaccio e Jean Grey.
Xavier comunica solo attraverso pensieri ed è in sedia a rotelle perché ha avuto un incidente durante l'infanzia.
La storia inizia con un addestramento degli studenti: Bestia fa delle acrobazzie e vediamo tutte le sue capacità fisiche, Angelo vola e di destreggia tra le varie trappole da allenamento, L'Uomo Ghiaccio viene attaccato e si difende, mentre l'addestramento di Ciclope prevede che combatta contro tutti gli altri.
Si chiamano X-Men perché hanno un potere extra e hanno la missione di salvare gli umani da mutanti cattivi; non si fa riferimento a particolari geni.
Viene introdotto anche Magneto, che è molto potente e ha un costume molto peculiare.

i love the x-men and stan lee but wow it was clearly not fun to be a woman in the 60's - also some really weird remarks from charles about jean even after he called her his child..

If I'm not mistaken this is the first X-men comic book ever!! :)
The illustration was a bit funny but still the story is great. A lot of dialogue which I think was the same for all the older comic book.
