A wise Executive once told me, 'as organizations change so too their leadership requirements' and that maxim has stayed with me since the time it was uttered. There are some fundamentals of leadership which, however, do not change in the fundamental sense of the term but rather become more accentuated by the sharper need for them. Such an element is communication.

And communication is Kevin D. Murray's bread-and-butter in The Language of Leaders . Yes, the man focuses almost myopically on public relations and that too within the UK sphere of industry leadership as well as public services executives. But this is only a slight fault when compared with the wisdom offered by all these leaders regarding only one thing: communication. The ability to communicate is supposedly one of the fundamental traits which allowed human evolution to reach the stage it did. Even today, the global village is predominantly built and based on communication.

So how do executive leaders, with thousands working under them globally, communicate? That is where Murray comes in with some savvy and tongue-in-cheek advice. His communication is easy to understand and is divided into practical solutions (though not one size fits all and we would be idiotic to expect that). My final opinion? Keep this one close. You will need it the most.
