A solid 50s crime novel. A priest teams up with a detective to unearth the true story behind the apparent suicide of a showgirl (who also happened to be deeply Catholic, and therefore, according to Father Shanley, incapable of the "big sin"). It was pretty fast- paced and it's not normally my genre, but I did enjoy it.
