This story had potential but it was confusing and hard to see who the story was really about.

I felt like there were inconsistencies such as Shannon not having any friends and earlier Martin was the best friend.

The author indicates that this is a sketch for a longer story. It felt like a draft and the author's note at the end made it a little better.
